CHISINAU, Sept 17 (Reuters) - The U.S. has approved a $130 million project to construct a high voltage transmission line to ensure a reliable electricity supply to Moldova from European markets, the U.S. embassy in Moldova said on Wednesday.
Connecting Moldova's electricity system to the European grid is an important first step that will help create an open electricity market with neighboring countries and support fair and competitive procurement of cleaner energy.
